In this Project I had to develope Logo's, Business cards and Postcards to ready myself for shows, employment and to promote myself after I leave university. Heres a page of a few samples I produced. I am hoping to develope them a bit further after my final major project, when I am more sure of my style and I can then use images from my FMP on my promotional material.
To raise money for our Fashion Show at New Designers (www.newdesigners.com) I handcrafted christmas wreaths from wire and plastic bags, it doesn't sound very glamourous but I think the overall effect is lovely and its a great way to recycle!
I am going to start off my blog with my most recent work. These are designs and illustrations that I did in collaboration with Charlotte Taylor (check out her stuff at http://www.charlottetaylorltd.com/). The brief was mainly themed as Japanese, but it had to be subtle and not too obvious, I chose to focus on japanese lanterns,prawns and orchids. I really love Charlottes subtle and playful silhouettes so I have tried to reflect this in my work too. Photos of final garments to follow!
